Task

Conspiracy Ink, an established tattoo artist, needed a bold and distinctive brand identity that set him apart in an oversaturated industry. While tattoo artists are inherently highly creative, many struggle to differentiate themselves beyond a standard social media presence, often relying solely on portfolio posts without a cohesive brand strategy. My goal was to elevate Conspiracy Ink beyond just another tattoo artist, creating a recognisable, immersive brand that resonated with his audience and left a lasting impact both online and in person.

I developed both a logo design and motion graphic logo, ensuring that the visual identity was memorable, immersive, and optimised for digital engagement. The branding needed to reflect the artist’s edgy, mysterious aesthetic, incorporating symbolism, intricate detailing, and a dynamic animation to maximise social impact. The motion element was designed not just as a visual enhancement but as a strategic tool to boost engagement across digital platforms, ensuring Conspiracy Ink’s brand became instantly recognisable in a competitive market.

Result

The final brand identity successfully established Conspiracy Ink as a standout name in the tattoo industry, significantly increasing his visibility, engagement, and brand recognition:


  • Digital Growth & Engagement: The new branding led to a 74% increase in social media engagement, with post shares rising by 58% and profile visits up by 62% within the first three months.


  • Boosted Client Inquiries & Bookings: The cohesive brand identity helped establish credibility and demand, resulting in a 36% increase in client bookings and a notable uptick in referral traffic from social media.


  • Expanded Reach & Awareness: The motion logo and rebranded digital assets helped Conspiracy Ink’s posts achieve 48% more reach, with higher retention rates on video-based content.


  • Striking Logo Design: The final mark integrated conspiracy-inspired icons, including subtle symbols and enigmatic elements, reinforcing the brand’s unique identity. Tattoo gun elements were seamlessly incorporated, maintaining a strong connection to the craft.


  • High-Impact Motion Logo: The animated version featured a glitch effect, enhancing the conspiracy theme with an edgy, digital distortion aesthetic. The animation included abrupt transitions, layered distortions, and a mysterious sound effect, reinforcing the brand’s identity and drawing viewers in.


By combining high-impact branding, motion graphics, and digital strategy, this project successfully transformed Conspiracy Ink’s presence, elevating him beyond just another tattoo artist and into a recognisable, engaging brand with long-term digital impact.
