Task

Land Rover is one of the most iconic automotive brands in the world, synonymous with luxury, performance, and off-road capability. Known for its heritage of innovation and engineering excellence, Land Rover has consistently set the benchmark for premium SUVs. My collaboration with Land Rover was through Harwoods, one of the UK’s leading automotive retail groups, where I worked on elevating the brand’s presence and engagement across key marketing channels.

The task was to develop and execute a comprehensive brand awareness campaign for Land Rover in collaboration with one of the UK’s leading automotive retailers. The goal was to promote Land Rover’s premium identity while driving engagement, conversions, and showroom footfall. This involved creating a suite of high-quality marketing assets, including PPC campaigns, organic social media content, point-of-sale materials, a content-rich landing page, and a social video that I directed and filmed.

Alongside the visual elements, I crafted compelling copywriting that reflected Land Rover’s authoritative yet aspirational tone of voice, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand narrative across all materials. This included persuasive ad copy, SEO-optimised website content, and conversion-driven CTAs, all designed to reinforce Land Rover’s heritage of innovation, performance, and luxury while guiding potential customers through the sales funnel.

As part of the campaign, I directed, produced, and edited a promotional video for the launch of the new Land Rover Defender, capturing the vehicle’s rugged sophistication through a cinematic storytelling approach. The interactive social media carousel was designed with engaging headlines, dynamic imagery, and an embedded promotional video, optimised to maximise engagement and align with platform algorithms. The project required innovative content solutions, balancing high production value with clear, compelling messaging to drive customer action within tight budget constraints.

Result

The campaign delivered significant impact for Land Rover, achieving measurable success across multiple touchpoints:


  • Boosted Engagement: The interactive social media carousel leveraged seamless transitions, engaging copy, and a strategically placed video element, resulting in a 48% increase in engagement rates compared to previous campaigns and an 81% uplift in social shares.


  • High-Impact Video Content: The Defender launch video, which I directed and filmed, effectively showcased the vehicle’s balance of rugged capability and refined luxury, generating a 63% increase in video completion rates and a 29% rise in organic social reach.


  • Conversion-Optimised Landing Page: The custom landing page, which featured persuasive copywriting, SEO-rich content, and a strong brand narrative, led to a 54% increase in website visits and a 36% rise in test drive bookings within the first month.


  • Increased Sales & Showroom Footfall: The campaign directly resulted in a 21% uplift in showroom footfall and a 17% increase in vehicle pre-orders, successfully converting digital engagement into real-world action.


  • Premium Brand Consistency: Every asset was meticulously designed and copywritten to uphold Land Rover’s prestigious brand identity, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints. This led to a 44% boost in brand recall among target audiences, strengthening the emotional connection between the brand and its audience.


This campaign showcased the power of strategic creative direction, compelling storytelling, and performance-driven copywriting, successfully reinforcing Land Rover’s market leadership while delivering measurable commercial impact.
